I have a concealed carry permit from Illinois which I’ll have to give up soon. However I’d like to know if anyone has a good resource of the conceal carry laws of IN. I pretty much conceal carry everywhere. But Id like to know what the limitations are. Obviously federal property is off limits. But what about parks? I take my dog to a dog park but I’m not 100% sure what exemptions Constitutional Carry Law includes. Any resources to help get me up to speed would be greatly appreciated.
Right now I’m holding onto my IL CCL for a little bit. I’ve been in NWI and now live near Evansville and I have not seen a sign. A point that I saw on Instagram, 90% of the people you pass by day to day, don’t even realize you’re carrying. Or they don’t even bother to look at your waste.
To be honest, in Illinois I stopped caring about gun free zone. If the criminals don’t have to listen to the infringing laws then why should I? I’m not looking for trouble, however if you just carry on about your business, you maybe surprised by the results.
FOID is useless in any state other than IL. Your FOID does not give you the right to conceal carry in IL. However IN it’s still a good thought to earn your conceal carry so that you can carry into neighboring states NOT IL. As with all infringements, you should always follow the local laws and regulations.
