Basically I'm creating Zelda like dungeons that you fight through with small numbers of your friends over the internet. The player will collect weapons and other items via achievements that they can equip to help with their dungeoning experience and will create semi-randomly generated levels using parts of enemies and the hearts of worlds to play through. It's technically an MMO, but it does not have many of the harder to create features of MMOs, i.e. no open world, no huge number of players on at a time, none of that sort of thing.
You will either love the art style or hate it- https://imgur.com/a/MY3v6b7
The art style is simplistic for a few reasons- I have an art tool that will be (and partially is) available to the public, allowing for fast and easy creation of assets by players, which can then be assimilated into the game quickly. This also allows less artistic individuals such as myself to create art assets without finding someone truly talented to do so.
I've coded the basics of this and have a functioning engine. There's a lot left to do however and I would like some help as I'm rather slow to develop due to time constraints (I work quite a bit), and someone else working on the project's less challenging measures would be a huge benefit to me- that is, someone to code things like enemy AI, interactions between elements, and to work on level parts to be added. This partner would also help design the project. It will be fascinating to see where all of this goes.
If you're interested, I operate mostly on discord and have written/discussed quite a bit there about the future of this project, and can invite you to see more pictures/design oriented discussions of the project etc.
