I am opening this offer up to anyone that can do video editing, for those of you who are beginners it can be an opportunity for you to do something that will help gain experience and some income as I have several projects across multiple categories that will require editing.

At a basic level, I am looking for people that can take raw videos I will provide and "pretty it up" for publishing.

The amount of revenue sharing will vary depending on the category that the video is used for and how many other team members are working on the same project. All attempts possible will be made to maximize each persons share of the projects. Since many projects will only involve myself and whoever is editing, many will be a 50/50 split. As we get further along, some projects will use the same video for more than one category, so you will get a share from each category.

As I have several projects that will be requiring video editing, I will attempt to match you up with projects that can best use your specific skill set.

In all cases I will provide raw video clips and an outline of what will need to be done, but a lot of creative control will be in your hands.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of After Effects and other Adobe Creative Suite tools is preferred, but not a hard requirement. At a basic level I do not really care what tools you use, as long as it results in decent video.

2. Knowledge of using Github is preferred. Not a hard requirement, but we can work around this if needed, but I prefer using it for version control.

3. For communication I prefer using Discord and you should be able to spend a few hours a week on there as this will be my preferred method for project information distribution.

4. Many videos will have a video-in-video requirement. For example I will provide two raw videos and will need the second one embedded in the first (think like a news broadcast is done)

5. Many videos will require that text overlays be added.

6. Preference will be given for veterans and people with disabilities, but this is not a hard requirement and it is not a requirement to notify me of either. I would prefer knowing if you are comfortable with letting me know, so that I can be sure to make any necessary accommodations (such as more time to work on things). I myself am both a veteran and have neurological/physical disabilities so fully understand how these can affect work ability.

7. You must have a "thick skin". While videos will not contain pornography or hate speech some of them may be controversial. For example if I do a video criticizing someone, your editing should not be affected by your personal views of that person. If you are (for example) a very religious person who would not feel comfortable doing a video that parodies religion, then I will assign that to someone else. Feel free to let me know if there are any type of videos you will not want to do.

Categories / Revenue breakdown:

As I mentioned the videos will be used for various categories and revenue share will depend on the number people working on a specific projects. If you work on a project, you will get a share of that projects income.

The general categories (more may be added later) share breakdowns will be:

A: Youtube / other sharing site videos -

I am going to be starting a new YouTube channel, maybe more than one, videos on YouTube channel will primarily have income from YouTube ads. As we get going however I hope to move into sponsored videos.

The video content will vary but will include videos such as technology reviews, various types of tutorials (mostly tech related), demo videos of my other projects, "top 10" style lists, and so on.

For the most part these videos will be just whomever is editing on them and I making them, so split will be 50%. In cases where additional people may be involved the split may be less, however I will take a cut myself if necessary to insure the highest split available for everyone.

B: Video contests -

I am good at coming up with the content ideas for videos, but not so good at putting them together.

We will make the videos together, I will submit them to contests (with appropriate credits in video for everyone) and in the event that any prizes are won then we we will do a split of any monies received. Split of winnings will range from 10%-50% dependent on number of people involved. Videos made for these will also be published on video sharing sites, so you would also receive a share from that as well.

C. Videos for my own websites -

Some videos will be for products that I will be offering/selling in the future. Income from these videos will be primarily based on advertising so you will receive a percentage of that.. Depending on the product, in some cases I may be able to offer an additional share from sales, you will be advised of this before any work is done. Videos in this category may be published in other categories so you will get an additional share dependent on category.

Videos for this category WILL require signing an NDA (as you will have access to information before it is public) and a contract.

D. 3rd party video services -

In the future I want to offer video editing services for others who need it. Since these will generally be "one shot" there will be no guarantee of residual income but you will receive a share of the income from these.

Videos for this category MAY require signing an NDA and a contract per project depending on customer requirements.
