What I'm doing: I'm working on a game project called CivPlanet, which takes Sid Meier's style 4x gameplay and adapts it to a multiplayer-focused platform that allows 30 players to interact on a single map, building cities and researching technologies in a hybrid real time/turn based setting. The game is quite far along, and I'm now actively looking for beta testers.

What I need: UI artists, 3d modelers, writers, and beta testers.

What you'll be doing:

UI Artist: Your task will be to improve and replace the existing UI, much of which consists of programmer art. Some of the programmer art replacement work is already done, so you'll need to adapt your work to match the style. Pay is $30 per hour.

3D modeler: My current plan for this game is to release it as free to play and monetize it through paid cosmetics for customizable 3D leader heads. I need someone to design a 3d leaderhead (both male and female varieties) including animations. Animations won't be too complicated, just something that makes the head look alive but not creepy. Pay is up for discussion but I intend roughly the equivalent of $30 per hour.

Writer: In my game, players are encouraged to create their own civilizations and write their history, but there will be premade civs both to provide inspiration and speed up the process of joining a game for those who don't want to make their own. I need you to write a backstory of roughly 500 words for 30ish different civs, as well as come up with a unique name, flag, and leader name. (You can work with one of my artists on the flag). Pay is open for discussion but I am targeting $15 per hour.

Beta Tester: As code nears completion, I need players to actually play the game and detect bugs, report difficulties and errata, and help me stress test the server. Unfortunately, this role is unpaid.
