\"Think Nol\"

At first sight I was bit alarmed to see this as Quim's father's day doodle but then is dawned on me that it was a re-draw of the invincible meme!

I wanted to give some context to this meme because I think it's rather applicable to Nol/Rand's relationship.

INVINCIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

In this scene, Rand is Omni-man ( coincidentally his his human-name is Nolan ) and Nol is Mark aka the son of Omni-man in the show.

In the premise, Omni-man reveals that the Viltrumite race had given him the mission to take-over earth. Mark is also Viltrumite ( cross-bred with human but Viltrumite DNA is very dominant ), therefore he too has supreme super-powers which is something Omni-man wants to utilize for his own gain. Omni-man asks Mark to join him in his mission to take over earth but Mark, who was raised as a human refuses and remains loyal to Earth. This angers Omni-man and he decides to teach him a lesson by physically fighting him, and by doing so mass amounts of people die....This is all Omni-man's way of teaching Mark that human lives are useless/pointless. Mark continuously refuses, trying to convince his Dad that there is humanity in him. At the end, Omni-man tries to kill his own son ( he beat the shit out of him ), but can't seem to finally finish him off. Overcome with regret, Omni-man desperately asks what Mark finds so valuable about keeping earth alive claiming that he'll outlive everyone and there'll be nothing for Mark to protect/live for. Mark answers, "I'll still have you dad" ( they're Viltrumite so they live for centuries or something like that so they'll live the same life-span ). This ultimately breaks Omni-man, and he finally realizes that he does indeed love his son and he flies away crying.

It's one of the most emotional moments on the show but now it's been turned into a meme lol

Now how does it relate to Rand/Nol:

Rand continuously beats/berates Nol, in aim to make him tough? but in reality his efforts to change/mold Nol into what he wants just damages Nol's mental health severely. Ultimately what's left is a emotionally damaged Nol and a regretful/confused Rand.

Also lol Nol came to fight his dad with boxing wraps but Rand beat him without them. Rand wins this round of the boxing match.
