We recently purchased a new home, and installed some IVAR shelving units in the basement workroom. Unfortunately, it turns out there was a bit of a small crack in the cinderblock wall, and during a heavy rain some water seeped in and pooled on the floor. Luckily, it didn't get near the legs of the shelving units (This time...), but it made us decide to find some sort of waterproof caps to go on the feet ,so that if there is more of a problem in the future, there will be some protection.
Has anyone done this before? Do you have any recommendations for something to use for this? We're looking for something to completely cover the bottom inch or so of the shelf unit, with no holes for water to get in to (we figure if there's more than an inch of water, we have bigger issues to worry about than some $12 uprights and $8 shelves).
Thanks in advance!
