Do I need a box spring for a Queen Tarva?

I just moved to a new place a few months ago, and bought a Queen size Tarva bed frame. I have also suddenly started experiencing regular back pain around the same time, most notably when in bed, plus my old bed never gave me back pain, so I am 90% certain that my bed frame is the culprit. The mattress is sitting directly on top of the frame, so do I need to add a box spring or something?
