It's been a busy moving season. I finally sat down today to try to order some furniture. I had settled on an Ektorp some time ago and also tried to get some of the Memorial Day sale items (a fail overall). I put in the order for the couch and the delivery date is July 10th. Fine. We can make do with either no couch our bring our old one to the new house- whatever, I'm a make-do kinda gal. But then I went on the Ikea FB page and the stories about orders arriving very late with MISSING ITEMS has me really freaked out. I just spent over $600 (a lot for me) on a couch, ottoman, and little bench for the deck. Should I cancel the order? Nebraska Furniture Mart has a good sale on right now, too. Or is it getting better? I don't mind waiting, I just don't want a bunch of missing and/or broken stuff and unresponsive customer service.
