Mattresses for Fyresdal

I just moved, and I am planning on buying the Fyresdal daybed, for use as my primary couch and primary bed.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what mattresses go well with it? Two 4-inch, two 6-inch, two 8-inch? And has anyone had success with pillows for the back? Bunch of small ones, or 1 or 2 big ones?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!!
