I saw similar post and figured I'd post about my trip to the Depot of Homes this past Sunday.
So my boyfriend works 5 1/2 days a week, meaning that any time we have a project or need to buy something big, we wait till Sunday to do so. It gives us some alone time while letting BF relax and feed his shopping habits.
So this past weekend rolls around and BF wants to buy one of those 5 gal bright orange drink coolers (Think of the buckets that football players dump on their coach after a big win.). We head to the big orange Depot and I pull out the app to find out where these coolers are because a nice feature of their app lists where an item is in the store, since none of the employees ever know where anything is.
The app says the cooler is near the front wall in seasonal, so we're walking around but all we see is outdoor furniture. I decide to go up to the service desk and ask where the cooler is and show the employee the app. He looks for a second and points to the area we were already in but doesn't offer much else.
So we go back and I'm standing at the end of the area looking at the giant wall of stuff, trying to see if I see anything resembling this damn cooler while my BF starts to walk off in the opposite direction. Now I am standing there, in ripped blue jeans and and a old t-shirt, squinting at the wall when a guy comes in from the parking lot and immediately starts asking me questions. I ignored him because I figured he was talking to an employee behind me, until he sort of gets between me and the display I'm standing in front of and does that "I'm talking to you" wide eyed and eyebrow lifting look.
Of course I jump back a little because of the invasion of my personal space and he asks his questions again. I stare at him for a minute and say I don't work here. He looks back at me like I suddenly grew a second head and goes "Oh I thought you did because you were directing people."
All I was doing when he walked in was standing there with my hands on my hips, squinting. The only person I would of been talking to was BF, but he was already three aisles away. I just gave him a weird look and walked away without saying anything else. Thinking back on it, I could of found the item that he was looking for with the app, if he didn't feel the need to practically kiss me to get my attention.
Ended up finding the cooler on the aisle with the grills.
