I'm a guy with a full beard. Literally EVERY TIME I go to the hardware store someone asks me where something is or what to do for a project.
I am working on my Carpenters Apprenticeship, sure, but there is no possible way they know that. Probably doesn't help that I actually know where everything is and almost always have an answer.
Monday at Lowe's. Guy walks up "Having issues deciding on what type of tapcon screws to buy".
Me: "what's the project?"
Him: "finishing my basement and need to get studs into the concrete"
Me: "have you considered just using a ramset?" (Powder actuated tool)
Him: "No what is that?"
Me:~sigh~ 15 minutes later I've got the guy buying $100 of tools to make the job easier
Him: "Thanks a lot you know your stuff around the store!"
Me: "I appreciate it but I don't actually work here. I just like to think I know everything"
...it's gotta be the beard.
