Inspired by the "you have a name tag, you work here" post.
Hello! I work at a store most people in the U.S. are familiar with, referred to herein as the Bullseye Emporium. This is not a tale about me, but one I witnessed while working. If you visit a Bullseye Emporium and pay attention, one can see that the employees on the sales floor like myself and management wear walkie talkies. Observant folks will notice that the display is red with a bullseye emporium logo.
Yesterday, I was doing my normal stuff while two EMT's enter and go peruse the food. They are in full EMT gear including walkie talkies. We get ambulance rigs in often to get their lunch, etc. as we are near a hospital. One man starts laying into them, loudly, because they won't help him find (obscure item) so I go and inquire as to the problem. The exchange goes as follows:
Me: "Can I help you find something tonight sir?"
Him: "No, but you can fire your incompetent coworkers here, they won't even help me find (obscure item)!"
Me: "Sir, those men are EMTs and they are on lunch."
Him: "BULLSHIT, THEY HAVE WALKIE TALKIES, THEY WORK HERE"
Me: "Sir, here is the walkie talkie that team members carry. shows the man my walkie talkie, and holds it up to theirs Now, look at theirs, it looks much different.
Him: "THATS BECAUSE YOU ARE THE MANAGER. FIRE THEIR INCOMPETENT ASSES!" (Please note, I am the farthest thing from a manager in the entire store)
At this point, he has broken the "two-strikes, you're out" rule, so I use the radio I have because I ACTUALLY WORK THERE to call security, who promptly "asks" him to leave. The EMTs each receive two apology coupons for their inconvenience.
