I also urge everyone to check profiles. Do they have a complete profile, including posts and comment history? If not, they may be a spam account. Be wary of accounts that have only posted links, those that engage in overly promotional behavior, and even those that have posted in other areas of the country recently from their posts on our subreddit.

I also urge you to report suspicious activity. If you encounter a user who seems off, please report them to the moderators. Your vigilance helps us keep the community safe.

Lastly, please limit engagement with these more obvious accounts. We may need to start enforcing stricter measures, including banning users who engage with these more obvious spam accounts. If you notice someone interacting with a suspicious account, please refrain from responding to them.
