I've been diagnosed with IBD/UC for a while now and I take 1200mg Octasa twice a day (morning and evening).
Recently I've been getting a lot of trapped wind/feeling physically very bloated come the afternoon from 2-6pm and I'm looking for suggestions to relieve this.
Diet:
[breakfast] porridge ( Octasa cod liver oil tablet vitamin d tablet)
[snack] banana / nuts
[lunch] sandwich / crisps / apple
[snack] nuts
(trapped wind)
I'm currently trying Rennie Deflatine but it doesn't seem that affecting. Maybe I should take more... The instructions state it can be consumed by chewing but it's not chewable!
Doing a quick search on Google returns plenty of food I should avoid. Can anyone recommend things to snack on during the day since nuts should be avoided?
I live in the UK so anything that could be purchased in the UK would be great.
