During my career, I have investigated everything from human trafficking to murder, including cold cases. My colleagues and I decided to re-open the 1976 Pam Maurer cold case, determined to crack it once and for all. Pam was a 16-year-old high school girl who was abducted, murdered, and dumped on the roadside in Lisle back in 1976. In a small-town America where women’s reports of sexual assault not investigated as thoroughly as they should have been throughout the 1970s.
