Ive been in the Air Force Reserves for 9 years, and have been in an Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron for the past 7. My crew and I fly into the battlefield, mostly into secure airfields, and turn a standard cargo/refueling aircraft ( C-130 Hercules, C-17 Globemaster, KC-135 Stratotanker) into a flying ICU ward. We transport members of all the branches of the military, civilian contractors, Foreign military members, and civilians of foreign nations who have also been injured.
In my eyes, I dont care what your rank is, what country you serve, whether your friend or enemy. You are my patient, and I will treat you and get you to a higher level of care.
I will do my best to answer all questions, and within the limits of my knowledge. If I do not know, I will defer and get an answer for you.
