I often say my job is most people’s worst nightmare: showing up to class naked. I have done so regularly now since the spring of 2012 in my late 20s and continue to work for universities, art schools, and private sessions.
Some of the institutions I have modeled at:
The MoMA
Rutgers
Montclair University
William Paterson University
Princeton
SVANYC
and many, many more places.
I adore my work and getting to be a part of an artistic community I would not have otherwise been a part of. While my work has been a little slower after covid, I still get a couple sessions in, on average, a week during the school year and am booking into the spring!
I also love sharing what I have learned in the thousands of hours I have spent doing my job in front of the thousands of artists of all skill levels over the last decade plus, especially as a body type and gender not often associated with the medium. Being a plus sized male art model has been an emboldening experience I love sharing.
Happy to answer any and all questions (in good faith) regarding modeling, working naked, or just expression in general. If you’re curious, I love talking about my job!
