Apologies if this has been covered in verbatim in the thread and I missed it , but wondering if any resolutions have been determined about making CarPlay feature wireless in the limited class HEV. The larger info screen version requires a wired plugin for IPhones, but supports wireless with Android.
When I was originally shopping for the vehicle in 21, the sales team assured me that is was just a licensing issue with Apple being negotiated and just required a firmware upgrade to activate the system for wireless CarPlay. That assertion was also found on several online forums when I was researching the purchase.
Of course, in the two years since I received the car, I canāt find anything about it, other than hacked up workarounds. Of course the sales reps I dealt with are āno longer with the dealershipā and we all know how āhonestā they can be. And when Iāve brought up the issue, the best I get from my service techs are shrugged shoulders, as if I am from Mars.
Iāve done the firmware upgrade this past spring and nothing has changed.
Am I missing something, was it all a bunch of BS, or is there an actual solution besides some you tuber hack?
