The noise sounds like it’s coming from this general area. I’ve got 2,400 miles on the vehicle. Started around 1,800.
It makes the sound over any road imperfection and it’s getting worse.
My car is spotless btw, nothing rolling around on the floor, in the door, under the seats…etc
Worried this interior is going to end up being crazy creaky
I’ll let you know if I figure it out. What’s nice is that the more people who experience it, the more likely a resolution will arise
That’s def the exact same issue. Still haven’t taken it to the dealer as I just know they’ll claim they didn’t hear it and take no action… all the while I’ll be out of a car for a few days.
There are DYI fixes for this issue on other cars. All involve pulling the plastic from the b-pillar and tightening some loose nuts etc.
Issue is that every other vehicle I’ve seen has an accessible area for which you can pull at the plastic… of course this isn’t the case with the Santa Fe… not sure how to pull the plastic without breaking anything
In all fairness my Silverado did something similar, albeit with the window. Unresolvable.
Bronco had a million sounds and leaked water through an air vent.
Mustang had issues.
My only vehicle without problems was a Toyota 4Runner….
You’d think I’d learn my lesson
Dude, I love you. Thank you so much for the detailed write up. And yes if you record a video please post it. It would help a lot of people
You’re doing god work. Could you tell me the first step you took to pull the b pillar plastic off?
Any pictures you have of the process would be clutch lol
Dawg if this was really the answer I’m going to be very sad as I already sold it lol
The clasp? Like the receiver (female) end of the seatbelt?
Please update if you learn more! What’s good is that if we all have it, a fix may eventually arise

That’s legit a technical term for items like that my guy. Like how there’s a female and male end to an electrical plug
