24 Hybrid SEL - Climate mode in garage?

Since I was a kid I've always known to never turn on a car while it's in the garage for obvious reasons.
It's probably a dumb question, but I wasn't sure if climate mode would be ok or not? It seems to be purely electric in that mode which should be fine, but I wasn't sure if there was some kind action happening with that engine that I should be careful or.
