Transmission trouble (2016 Tuscon 1.6T Unlimited)
Post Body

Had trouble with the car back in Dec. 2022, everything in the dash lit up, GPS wasn't working, car couldn't go over 40 km/h, engine stopped by itself. Sent it to my family mechanic, couldn't find what caused the problem, cleaned the transmission computer's contact, problem disappeared. June 2023, transmission was slipping from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th, and my reverse wasn't working (you had to shut the engine and start it again for it to work). Mechanic suggested to bring it to the dealer because it was too complex for him. Dealer announced the bad news, complete transmission replacement was needed. Owed 10k on the car, dealer offered me 12k for it. Traded it for a brand new 2023 Tucson Hybrid Ultimate (crystal white with black interior).

I wanted to share my experience to see if other people had this kind of problem on their 2016 and to share my excitement for my first new car
