My doctor started me on levothyroxine and metformin after testing my thyroid/hormone levels and diagnosing me with "subclinical hypothyroidism".
Before starting the medications, my period would only show up every 2-3 months, it would last legit WEEKS, and it would be very light and I experienced very minimal PMS symptoms.
Now, a month into the medications, I'm on my period - and it is HEAVY, and I'm experiencing horrible PMS symptoms (similar to when I was a teenager). However, I've been bleeding for.... 12 days now. And it doesn't seem to be letting up.
I'm just wondering if anyone here has a similar experience, or can tell me more about the timeline with regulating my period now that I'm taking levothyroxine/metformin? I was told it was going to help me become "regular" again, but I'm wondering how long that will take/what I can expect.
