Hi all, this one is a bit long and I'm sorry, I'm just weirded out a bit.

I had my last baby in June via c-section, and have had a weird postpartum experience. I'm wondering if anyone else has been through this nonsense as well, and what did you do or do find out. Also note - I had a bi salp with my c-section (because I'm NOT going through HG again!).

It started out GREAT! I was walking 6 hours postpartum, I had a great appetite, bleeding was minimal, no pain from the surgery site, etc. I only bled for 2 weeks (same as the last time before), and has almost no nausea, gastroparesis, cramping, etc. I didn't look or feel like I just had a baby just a week later, which also happened after the first baby.

A few weeks later, I started to bleed again. No big deal, maybe my period again? However, I bled for a few weeks lightly then I could tell it when was finally my actual period. It was HEAVY!! Not quite a maxi pad an hour, but bad enough I did go pale and passed out for a few seconds. (I also have POTS, so it could have just been a normal syncope episode, hard to tell.) After a few hours it let up enough I started to recover just fine and started feeling okay again. My period lasted about 11 days, and stopped like normal. That was 3 weeks ago when it started, and here I am bleeding again! I felt like it was happening again, so I had a feeling to put a pad on to keep an eye on it. Sure enough... It's not bad, just annoying.

The worst part? Any time I've bled after that initial post delivery bleeding, I've been nauseous and throwing up again. As if my HG "reactivated". I'm down ~40lbs from my weight when I tested positive at 4 wks 3 days. I'm losing more weight again. I had mentioned this to my OB at my postpartum appointment, and asked if we could try Prednisone again since my antiemetics weren't strong enough some days. She denied that for me... She did send a GI referral, but messed it up so I'm still in limbo about it and about to go up there to make them get it taken care of.

I haven't had pain like you would with gallstones or anything, so any ideas? Am I still potentially just dealing with HG postpartum at this point when my hormones flare? I obviously shouldn't be pregnant, but I have a test I can take if anyone thinks it's a good idea, since I know there's a sliver of a 1% chance no matter what.

Note - I also had weird bleeding after my first, but it was 6 months later when that hit.
