So as of yesterday I decided to start working on the brain end of a arcade cabinet I'm going to make. I grabbed one of my spare PC's, put a clean install of windows 7 on it, did some research and decided to use Hyperspin as a gui.
I downloaded and installed the most recent stable version of hyperspin (1.3.3 with the 1.4 updates) and started downloading emulators and configuring them. Got SNES and NES done (configured the XML files and config files in a text editor) and when doing Genesis, I was having issues with the emulator. I read about retroarch, and as a better emulator that's also a one stop shop it sounded like the way to go.
But things just keep getting more and more confusing. I understand the differentiation between hyperspin and emumovies, so i've been using the websites of each for their each intended purposes, but when seeking help with configuring retroarch to work as a multi console emulator in Hyperspin, it seems all the examples I see are people using Rocket Launcher.
The most recent version of hyperspin has hyperlaunch, but it is so limited in purpose compared to what i have seen of rocket launcher, its only really good for testing to make sure a setup is working properly for an emulator. I don't have the options to configure the modules and such within hyperlaunch (at least not that i was able to see).
Is everyone using rocket launcher? From what little i read, rocket launcher can't be used in congruence with hyperlaunch, so would i have to go into hyperhq and do configuring so its not using hyperlaunch anymore?
I was on a straightforward path, and now i feel lost lol. please advise ^
