I have no idea how to hunt and I have no one to teach me...

I really want to learn to hunt, but I’ve never been and don’t know how to begin. It feels irresponsible to just read books and go out by myself. I want to be much closer to my food and this has become import to me but I have no idea how to start. Any advice? What do I do?
