Lpt: check your guns thrice after going for a walk

I just got home from a walk around the trail and when I got home with my Winchester 61, I emptied the barrel mag, slid ‘em all out, turned the port down and cocked it a few times, turned it up to inspect whilst cocking and clear the chamber visually.
Then set it down to take my boots off.
When I get back to give it a quick oil down I cock it one more time because I’m an ocd vet.. and Jesus foxtrot Charlie
