So make this simple, I have a horse farm 21 acres in central west Maryland, what time is it best to work the holler’s (low ground between ridges) morning or evening? For reference I’ve been stalking deer and coyote in my ghillie from years of service and no problems, what I have noticed is that the deer are already in the low ground (my preferred ambush site) by dawn. In Maryland rut is still on rn. Firearms Season is Nov. 30th. The problem for white tail is getting within range to my ambush site undetected in open terrain (150 meters for 5.56 to be ethical). So I’ve hunted humans a long time and hunting deer is very foreign to me, in war or combat no worries about spoiling the meat. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!
