Why did Ging have a kid in the first place?

Why did bro decide to have kid if he was so unprepared to be a dad and low key wanted nothing to do with Gon? Like dude he’s gonna win deadbeat dad of the year if he keeps this up 😭

On the one hand that makes sense given "aunt mito" but I was personally under the impression that ging is mitos cousin, maybe I'm misremembering, or it's from the 2011 version. Idk for sure tho

Because aunt also refers to feminine adjacent of the father, in this case if it were gings cousin instead of gons moms sister, she would still be "aunt" though it would be offset by one because English family titles are weird like that

Also given the fact that at least in 2011, mito isn't sure who gons moms is either, also has a stronger bond with ging, and has several pictures of ging by himself around the house, which would be a bit more awkward if mitos sister were the one going was actually with

All this to also assume this it's not lore conflicting of mito to even have a sister to begin with. She may say that in '99, and as long as there's no evidence against it, it's still plausible, though I guess manga takes precedent, but I haven't personally read the manga so I couldn't speak on that front

Nippon animation is the '99 one, yeah? Now I gotta know what the manga or togashi say

At least from my recollection of the 2011 series, no. Like I said, could be wrong

I don't want to think about the logistics, but now I am, would that make gon a butt baby?

[not loaded or deleted]

Oh yeah, honestly tho, power scaling and system uniqueness are 2 completely different metrics in my mind, so yeah I don't blame you there

[not loaded or deleted]

Not to mention probably a pretty powerful nen to either manipulate to the point of near sentience, or straight up make them sentient

[not loaded or deleted]

Well the island was already there, but yeah, making masadora itself must've taken a while

[not loaded or deleted]

Or synergize well at least, since greed island is run by him and a group

[not loaded or deleted]

Yeah, don't stretch yourself too thin and actually keep at and it goes crazy. Don't want to get into a power system argument, but I still personally think nen and stands are the 2 most unique power systems

[not loaded or deleted]

Right. Only that it's allowed him to become one of the strongest hunters in the known world

[not loaded or deleted]

Funky, tho given the shadiness around gings nen, can't entirely rule it out

[not loaded or deleted]

Would be especially weird since wasn't gon born before they went to the eventual greed island?
