I (finally) had a chance to read BSS, and I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the movie.
I wonder if the story not being told from Snow’s perspective will impact the quality of the movie.
For example, I felt like both Mockingjay movies (but especially pt. 2) were negatively impacted quality-wise vs. the books because a lot of the internal conflict has to be assumed or expressed in some other way on screen. While in the books, we could follow her inner thoughts, and her actions made much more sense.
This impacted all four movies, but they found remarkable ways to bridge the gap (announcers explaining actions, for instance).
There are a couple of things in particular that I’m a little worried about.
First: When Snow says specific things and explains why he told them the way he did, I think that’ll get lost.
Second: When he turns on Lucy, the beauty of that portion of the book is the explanation behind his actions.
I really fear this will be lost in the movie
