Peeta crying in book one

Katniss mentions that Peeta was crying on the way to the train and didnāt seem like he was trying to hide it but it would be a strange tactic for someone as broad shouldered and large as Peeta to use. I was Relistening and realized. What if Peeta was crying because his mom just said āsheās a survivor, that oneā? even though we donāt hear about it in the book until later. Thatās whatās going through peetas head at that moment.
