Catching Fire's (movie) reduction in announcing

Re-watching the movies (like everyone else, obviously). One big difference between Hunger Games and Catching Fire that stood out was the lack of the announcing. It really bridged the gap between things that were expressed in Katniss' thoughts while in the arena.
I will say this, Jennifer Lawrence did a hell of a job conveying that on screen. Unfortunately, that was just too talk of a task for anyone to accomplish in the last two movies.
