I'm a complete Hue newbie and currently don't own any products.
So here's the plan. I have the following:
- Samsung QLED TV with eArc
- Sonos Arc soundbar (currently uses the TV's eArc port)
- Multiple consoles (Switch, PS5 etc.)
I would like to add some Hue lighting to the setup. I'm thinking a lightstrip for the TV and some additional lighting surrounding it.
I researched this last year and came to the conclusion that achieving this setup without compromise wasn't possible since the Sync Box didn't support HDMI 2.1. But I just discovered the new and improved 8K Sync Box, which supposedly fixes this issue. Is that true?
I would also like to know what exactly plugs into what. Do I connect all my devices (consoles, Soundbar) into the Sync Box? Or does the soundbar still go in the eArc port?
All help is appreciated, thank you.
