Can you wear a Band 6 on your foot?

For some context, I'm a Med Student in the UK. We aren't allowed to wear anything below our elbow, apart from a wedding band, in order to stop the spread of diseases (these things can interfere with hand washing.)
I recently moved from a Xiaomi Band (a cheap, 5 year old one) that I used to just wrap around my ankle and wear while at the hospital.
Has anyone used the Band 6 in a similar configuration, and if so does it work well for step counts and such?
