P20 Lite: anyone having trouble with mobile data after the latest update? also how to stop the phone from trying to update to the latest version after downgrading?

right after my phone updated, the Mobile Data doesn't work anymore, only WiFi.
I inserted my sim card in my friend's phone and it worked. I inserted his sim card in my phone and it didn't work.
so I downgraded to the previous version and it started working again. but I forgot to make a back up of everything on my phone, so I lost everything on it (photos, notes, apps etc...) but the mobile data worked again. now my phone keeps wanting to update to the latest version.
any way to turn that off?
