Hello đ hereâs my honest review.
So I saw HMC for the first time yesterday. Oh lord, I know it has been stated a million times but I will not shut up about this. The graphicsâŚ. They are to die for. Such a beautiful piece of work. I heard the movie was digitally crafted but they later painted over stuff so it was even better.
I feel like when I first saw it I was definitely confused and I feel like I had an over load of information so, some part of me kind of wanted it to end. Also, I didnât understand the chemistry between Howl and Sophie. He was always gone and was dramatic over some things, then she fell in love. I actually cried towards the end of the movie though because it was so comforting.
I then googled and saw videos explaining the hidden meanings and metaphors found in the film. I learned that Howlâs heart is Calcifer. How Calcifer would never allow anyone else to command him besides Sophie, but then he lets Sophie cook the breakfast because itâs Howlâs heart and Howl loves her. So that melted my heart.
Then I also learned that Howl would protect Sophie with his heart at home and he would leave to fight the war to protect her as well. So sweetâŚ
Also, he is trying to break the spell by gifting her the amazing meadow and giving her a new bedroom, so that she is more comfortable and keeps falling in love.
Omg and then when we learn that in the beginning when they first meet, he tells her âthere you are sweetheart, Iâve been looking everywhere for you.â And his ring SHINES. Itâs all connected because towards the end of the film she tells him to look for her in the future.
I love how everyone became a family and Turnip was such a sweetheart, who turned out to be the prince. Poor guy, he loved Sophie but her heart was Howlâs already.
My god, so I rewatched it again today because I frankly cannot stop thinking about it. I love it. Such an amazing film. I wanna watch it again lol.
