Fantasy map w no artistic ability

I am currently writing a fantasy book and need to make the map so my brain doesn’t collapse keeping it all together. It’s practically done w help from sketches I’ve found online but now need to draw an area that was burned and left to the elements for a decade r so and cannot find anything helpful online. Please help, any vague instruction could help.
