Married male in Houston looking to explore ethical non-monogamy and discreet dating.
About a week ago my wife informed me that she considered our marriage an open one for all intents and purposes. Since then she's been on several dates and was evasive on details and is definitely in the early stages of going through a makeover (working out, shopping trips, new hair do).
The pandemic has taken its toll, to the extent that intimacy and mystery has totally gone out of the window, as a result we've been in a dead bedroom situation for a year now. Other than that neither of us have any desire to divorce or change things at home.
I've been too focused on work and finishing up a graduate program to really prepare for this new reality… looking to ease into the habit of meeting new people and slowly try to manifest my new future.
Basic rules of our situation:
- Don't Ask / Don't Tell.
About me: I've been described as a grown up boy scout next door. Classic workaholic, career focused, high achiever. I volunteer in my local community, photography and long hikes.
I'm a great first date, my love languages are Acts of Service and Words of Affirmation, and I'm a great cook who enjoys French and Spanish cuisine.
I have a pretty flexible work schedule that allows me to be out of pocket 2-3 hours at a time.
Glad to answer any questions, kind of feeling my way through this and figuring things out as I go along. More or less treating this as a year long project, I don't expect to go on an actual date any time soon until I get my act together.
For any woman looking for an easy middle-aged fixer upper project… 🙋🏻♂️
Vibe-wise I'm totally the first act of Crazy Stupid Love. Most of my clothes are from 2015 so I have some shopping to do and such.
