Post Body

I'm looking to move before the end of the year and my bond for this place I'm currently in is secured in a deposit scheme. I've lived here for just over 5 years. I've been an excellent tenant with no late payments and 2 inspections each year by the estate agent that I've passed apart from small things such as mould around a part of the bath. I have also carried out various repairs myself. But, as much as I've tried to keep the place in a good state there has been some wear and tear over the 5 years such as the living room carpet has fraid and there's small holes in the roof and walls where a curtain rail was removed. I'm planning on filling these before I go but the carpet concerns me. Given that I have lived here for 5 years and normal wear and tear is expected, how likely is it that the estate agent will refuse to give me back my bond due to the carpet and minor issues around the place?
