Recently been told I can’t rent anywhere due to the fact I’ve been homeless for years now and haven’t had anything about myself down on paper for quite some time. I start a new job that is very well paying soon, life changing money even if I had been working for living wage and now I want to start sorting a place for my kids to visit and actually have the time I should, the issue I face is my family who are in property have advised no one will go near me without the relevant history and references etc as the laws have changed How much of this true in Scotland and is there anything I can do to help my situation?is there any sort of recommended pathway here where I am not left having to spend silly amounts living out a BnB or carry on living in a car till I can buy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
