I donā€™t think the last episode let us really see the depth of her reaction to finding out Viserys meant Aegon the conqueror. Sure, she understands that she fucked up but quickly stands her ground.

In this episode, sheā€™s going through her late husbandā€™s history books and miniatures. We donā€™t really see what sheā€™s doing, but itā€™s clear to me that sheā€™s trying to understand what Rhaenyra said to her in the previous episode. Sheā€™s trying to understand the impact of what she misunderstood and what ā€œAegonā€™s Dreamā€ is.

Sheā€™s super insecure and will cling to her mistake but itā€™s going to make her super unhinged and Iā€™m here for it. Note how much crueler she has gotten towards Aegon. She even went as far as to say ā€œyou have no idea the sacrifices that were made to put you on the throneā€ - alluding to how her and her father put him there. Otto also suggested it to Aegon, and itā€™s clicking in his head now. She indirectly pushed him to go to battle by belittling him and making him feel like he needed to prove himself.

Sheā€™s going to do some really unhinged things once she unravels things a bit more and sees just how wrong she is. And at this point she canā€™t do anything to stop anything. She helped put a moron on the throne and will spend her days getting her mistakes rubbed in her face.
