In an episode with a lot of good and improved performances from returning cast members, I have to say the one who struck me as being the most improved was Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria.

I really didn't think much of her presence in season 1, I thought it was average and her accent was a but too much. But in the S2 premiere she does a lot with a pretty basic script and characterization.

Her facial expressions and body language when she's confronted by Daemon at Dragonstone are very convincing. And the way she smoothly navigates Daemon's wrath, effectively talking him down from taking out his anger on her despite her aiding his enemies, is convincing as well. Not everyone could sell it as well as she did.

I have to say, while I still don't know where her character is going or what significance she'll play right now, she really held her own against a seasoned actor last night, and even eclipsed him in the range and subtlety of her performance..
