So my husband and I have been re-watching House. We originally saw it back when it first aired but I never finished watching it. I previously only saw till around the end of season four, so the last two seasons have been new to me.
However, I know exactly how it ends because I stupidly googled it before deciding I wanted to watch it. I also know a lot of people hate season seven, even though I have been careful to avoid spoilers about precisely why it’s so hated.
Personally, I thought the finale of season Six was one of the absolute best episodes I have seen. I can easily fill in the blanks of what should happen next. (Not what does happen next, what I would like to happen next)
I genuinely think this is around where they should have ended the show. I don’t want to see House unhappy again. I feel like he’s had a great journey and it’s awesome to finally see him and Cuddy get together! But there’s a very large part of me that feels like stopping now is cheating or something.
Obviously, it is up to me if I want to finish watching the show, but I’m curious—do you guys think it is worth watching season 7 and 8 or do you think I should just quit while House is ahead and I can imagine happy endings for all the characters? (Besides Talb, because fuck him for cheating on his poor wife again. And 13– because I can’t imagine how she could possibly have a happy ending.)
