Where to start getting into house music
Post Body

hey guys, so recently i’ve been starting getting into house music, and i would love to hear some artists to get into or any recommendations on artists. so far the only artists i really listen to are KAYTRANADA (saw him live opening for the Weeknd and loved his set, even though i’ve been listening since 2020), Drake (his album Honestly, Nevermind has been on repeat for me lol)) and Black Coffee (found him through Drake, checked out some of his music and loved it). Appreciate any recs!

There's a good BBC documentary called Pump Up The Volume that covers the house music scene. It starts with New York garage and Chicago house and then moves across the ocean to the UK mostly. It's not a perfect documentary but it's a decent primer for house. It's on youtube.
