My wife came home last night and told me that she was asked out on a date while out with friends. She says she told him no, and she’s married. He then asked, ‘well, is he into it?’ My thought was that he was asking if she is allowed to see other men but she says she felt like he was asking if a threesome could happen. I thought she was telling me about it because it intrigued her but as she went on about it she started acting like she was kind of offended by the guy assuming she would be ok with this. Because she and I have been talking about this for years and it’s sort of a shared fantasy, and we even tried to implement it before, I can’t help but feel she was being disingenuous by acting offended. I tried to say some encouraging, open-minded, nonjudgmental things to show her she didn’t have to act like the proposition wasn’t at least a little exciting to think about.
