Did you first get into this lifestyle with your current wife? Or an ex?

For me it was my ex back in college I first tried this with- and became addicted to the kink before even meeting my wife. It's certainly much better with someone I trust implicitly these days- but the majority of stories I read say they first try the kink after marriage. Hoe common is it to have started as early as me?
