STI Testing
Post Body

The question we have for everyone involves testing for sexually transmitted diseases.

How often do you test yourself?
For which specific diseases do you test? We suspect the answer is HIV, HCV, HBV, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, trichomonas, and HSV.

How often do you expect the third to test and how recently?

Where do you get tested and what do you tell the clinician about why you want to get tested?

Any suggestions for locations in DFW?

Thanks in advance

We take PrEP so we are tested for STIs every 60-90 days. If we are shooting content, we will test independently of our doctor’s offices with Talent Testing Services.

We test got HIV, HCV, syphilis and gonorrhea/chlamydia. For gonorrhea/chlamydia, we do the three site testing (urine, throat/rectal swab). We do not do HSV because the STI testing guidelines only recommend to test for it if a person has symptoms/lesions. Otherwise, the HSV serology is uninterpretable as a screening tool.
