Quick recap: After 8ish years of skirting the topic and lots of communication, Mrs Curious had her first two lovers while on a business trip last month. The first guy, Brad, pretty much served as the ice breaker. She went for it to see if she could or would be able to, but afterwards she wasn't sure she'd ever do it again. However, the very next night, she took Chris to bed and ended up so much happier, and definitely could see herself getting into this. To that end, she's been chatting on and off with Chris and they're hoping they'll be able to hook up at a conference next month.

I've been out of town for work for a few days and naturally we were continuing our conversations. Mainly we chatted about planning for this trip where she might see Chris, but we also discussed the possibility of finding someone closer to home. We're doing an overnight for a foodie event and are both open to looking for someone there to check off MFM threesome from her bucket list. Oh, I forgot to mention, very important, our kids were at their nanny's for a sleepover.

So Don comes over and they eat, chat, and watch sports. She finds out the reality of his ex is much worse that our perception, but he wasn't catching on to any of Mrs Curious' signals. They chatted for several hours about how evil women can be, his job, ours and his kids... She and I keep chatting as well - me trying to figure out if anything will happen, and her letting me know how the evening is going. She even tried light touching to gauge a response but got no positive signs from him in return.

Then, abruptly, he got up to leave. They'd been talking for probably 4 hours at this point. She was confused but didn't try to stop him. With us texting all through this I knew what was going on - I had even sent him a message earlier thanking him for the dinner and company for her. So I say she should ask him if he's alright. I figured her night was over so we said our good nights and I tried to go to sleep. I passed out for a few minutes, but woke up and asked her if it was okay if I was a little disappointed. A few minutes later I get the message...

Mrs: um... he came back.

Me: Oooooohkay. And?

Mrs: Yes. it's happening and he knows you know.

About an hour later I asked how she was. "Great" was the reply. I left them alone for a while longer and then asked what they were up to. "Watching SportsCenter on the couch and chatting." I'm supposed to wait a couple days before I contact him (or wait for him to contact me), mainly to reassure him that I knew, we're good, and she'd like to see him again. Oh, I'll also be asking if he's up for that threesome!
