Hi friends, we’re new here and pretty new to the lifestyle. We’ve played around with a friend twice and on vacation once, but both were pretty spontaneous after a night of drinking.

Recently we decided to explore the idea of finding a third online and that’s quite a different experience than we’ve had before. A little nerve wracking (but also exciting!) to arrange to meet a stranger 😅 We met a person, chatted for a while and finally decided to meet up. We prefer the idea of meeting up for drinks in a public area to make sure there’s a good vibe before moving forward. Unfortunately the vibe wasn’t what we wanted and we didn’t move forward. Over text it was a great connection and we were able to exchange pics as well. We wouldn’t say we were catfished, but this third wasn’t what we were looking for once we met in person and we feel we would have known that if we had talked either over video or something similar prior to meeting up.

Our question is - is asking for a video chat weird? Is there other ways that you try to vet the connection prior to meeting up? We know there’s lots of trial and error in this, we just feel like we wasted our and their time and don’t want that to be a regular thing 😬
