What's the best city?

Wife and I agreed to wait until after the pandemic is "over" and finally try this out. We're in the Midwest and occasionally end up in Western NY and Canada. Anyone have any thoughts on Columbus, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Niagara, or Toronto? What's the best spot? And would you recommend going to a bar to pick someone up or to set something up beforehand?
