How long did it take everyone to find a long term 3rd?

We've been on apps & tried a ton of stuff. My wife is attractive so that isn't the issue. Going on 1.5 years trying to find a steady 3rd with little luck is this normal? My wife is also very very picky, we've some luck but the guy isn't the perfect fit so it doesn't continue. Any advice & mainly curious how long it generally takes? Thanks
